Had you told me a few months ago that Tori Blackstock would become one of my favorite suspense thriller authors, I would have laughed at you. Not that she’s undeserving of the title.
My biggest problem with her was that she was a Christian author. Or, at the very least, my friends had classified her as a Christian author. I don’t associate Christian authors with suspense thrillers.
Those that experiment with this genre tend to fail spectacularly. After buying Blackstock’s books, I can confidently say that my friends did not lie. Blackstock is a Christian author.
However, her books are definitely legitimate thrillers. I don’t know how she does it. She keeps imparting Christian wisdom without sacrificing the quality of her stories, which is a rare skill.
