    I know it’s blasphemy to admit this, but I wasn’t blown away by ‘Relentless.’ I know it was a major hit. Still, if you asked me to recommend a Simon Kernick novel, I wouldn’t point you in the direction of ‘Relentless.’ It wasn’t terrible or anything.

    To me, it was just another generic action thriller. On the other hand, ‘The Last 10 Seconds’ was terrific, and I don’t understand why people don’t spend as much time talking about it.

    It was everything I wanted in a thriller: fast-paced, action-packed, and relentless. If you want to experiment with Kernick’s work, I recommend ‘The Last 10 Seconds’ as a starting point.
