In 2002, Robert Baden-Powell was named the 13th on a BBC poll of the 100 Greatest Britons.
In 1931, Major Frederick Russell Burnham renamed a peak in California's San Gabriel Mountains Mount Baden-Powell after Baden-Powell, who was his long-time friend. The adjoining peak is now known as Mount Burnham, to celebrate their friendship. During the Scouting 2007 Centenary celebrations, Nepal renamed Urkema Peak to Baden-Powell Scout Peak.
Baden-Powell appeared as a character in the BBC TV mini-series The Edwardians, portrayed by Ron Moody.
