Penelope is a New York Times bestseller, and you will understand why once you read her books. Most romance novels are hardly worth the trouble because they are written by authors who hope to make a killing by using the same formula to churn out forgettable stories.
Penelope’s production rate is quite impressive, but I don’t think you can include her in that first category of authors. I don’t doubt that she follows a formula. After all, her stories tend to explore taboo relationships, which is very appealing to a section of the public.
However, that doesn’t mean Penelope’s books are somehow inferior. She has a way of crafting extremely intense relationships between her characters. The people that described her novels as unputdownable did not exaggerate.
She will keep you hooked to the page until her characters attain their happily ever after.
