Patrick Quentin (Hugh Callingham Wheeler) was born on March 19th, 1912. Patrick passed away July 26th, 1987 at 75 years old.

Patrick Quentin was the author of the Peter Duluth Mystery series which consists of 10 novels. The Peter Duluth Mystery series started in 1936 with the novel A Puzzle for Fools. The most recently released novel in the Peter Duluth Mystery series was The Puzzles of Peter Duluth which was released in 2016. There are no upcoming novels for the Peter Duluth Mystery series.

Patrick Quentin made many appearances on the Honkaku Mystery Best 10 international list in Japan. His book Puzzle for Wantons was listed at #2 in 2006. In 2011, he shared the 6th spot on the list for his novel Puzzle for Fiends, alongside Paul Halter's The Deadly Letter.
