Nearly a decade later, Oliver DeMille published the work The Coming Aristocracy, in which he asserts that America is heading toward a future in which unelected elitist leaders will control money and politics.

Oliver shows how ordinary people who are in charge of small schools, farms, and businesses attain a sense of real freedom. According to DeMille, modern education has to be about mentoring, classical thinking, and leadership rather than just job training.

He suggests a plan to prevent the rise of a new aristocracy and instead focuses on the rebuilding of a society of confident and free owners.
