Noel Barber was a journalist that traveled to many exotic places. Noel reported from Morocco, where he was stabbed five times, he survived a gunshot wound to the head by a Soviet sentry in Hungary during the Hungarian revolution, and eventually a car crash ended his career in journalism. Noel then became a novelist in his seventies when he wrote his debut novel Tanamara.
