I told my librarian that Michael Palmer’s books reminded me of Hollywood blockbuster thrillers from the 80s and 90s. Then she informed me that all the Michael Palmer books I had read thus far came out in the 80s and 90s, which explains a lot.
Palmer keeps you on the edge of your seat. That doesn’t often happen for me. I don’t want to call him a master of suspense until I read more novels from his bibliography.
But he knows how to keep readers like me hooked. I love the medical angles because they elevate some of the cliches his stories use. From what I’ve heard, Palmer has medical experience, so I have chosen to take every medical fact he cites as the truth.
