Mary Burton writes stories about law enforcement, suspense, and forensic procedures. She is one of the best storytellers I’ve ever read their work, and each time she never disappoints. ‘The Perfect Wife’ was enthralling and intriguing, with enough drama to keep the reader entertained. ‘The Shark’ in the Forgotten Files series was an amazing thriller with great twists and engaging suspense and is perfect for romance and suspense fans. In ‘The Last Move,’ Mary made me think I had all figured out, just to throw in twists that kept me in suspense in the entire series. I will forever remain a Mary Burton’s fan, for she never lets me down.
I can’t help but get excited whenever Mary Burton releases a new book. I am more than happy to make most authors wait. Their latest releases are not going anywhere. I don’t have to read their books the moment they come out.
But every time I hear of a new Mary Burton novel, I drop everything I’m reading to devour it. I can’t help it. Her romantic suspense novels are so good. Just look at ‘Never Look Back.’
It has two serial killers. Most crime fiction authors would struggle to tell a cohesive story with more than one serial killer. But Burton does so while making it look effortless.
