Every time I discuss Marcia Willet online, all I can think is, ‘Who is Rosamund Pilcher?’ You cannot finish a conversation about Willet online without one person mentioning Pilcher.

They also compare Willet to Maeve Binchy. I have to assume that Pilcher and Binchy are authors. I discovered Willet two years ago. Every few months, I make a promise to research Binchy and Pilcher, but I never do. A new Willet novel comes along and distracts me.

The people that know me wouldn’t expect Willet to entertain me because her style is slower than the authors I like. I don’t know why I enjoy her work. I think it’s the dialog and the characters.
