    I hotly anticipated The Z-Word and it still exceeded my expectations. Instantly made Lindsay King-Miller an author to watch in my opinion. It’s exactly the kind of LGBTQ+ fiction I want to see more of, especially since it’s not aimed squarely at teens. I appreciate that the characters are grounded personalities first, and they sometimes fail or make poor choices, instead of the overly-sanitized overly-virtuous walking identities that I see too often in LGBTQ+ fiction. This author even put a lot of care into her background characters. I hope she keeps succeeding so I can have more
