Joy Hakim was born on January 16th, 1931 and is currently 95 years old. Hakim attended Smith College where she received a Bachelor's Degree and Goucher College where she received a Master's Degree and Honorary Doctorate.

Joy Hakim is an American author of a ten-volume series on the history of the United States A History of US.

In A History of US: From Colonies to Country 1735-1791, Hakim provides readers with an overview of the US history at the time.
