Jackie Collins is an extremely compelling storyteller and a fierce queen who wrote on female sexual desire at a time when that was unthinkable in society. She uses a dark sense of humor, and her cutting satire is fresh as if it was written in the 21st century. Jackie’s books are a great break from the drama and mystery books that I also love reading. Jackie Collins uses a variety of well-developed characters. Her first book, The World is Full of Married Men, is a fantastic introduction to the media business. If you are looking for books full of intrigue, then consider looking for Jackie Collins’s work.
I have just begun my journey into Jackie Collins’ bibliography. It’s odd. Her name is completely alien to me. And yet, for the longest time, her face seemed so familiar.
Then I went back home a few weeks ago and found a book in the attic with her face on it. Someone in my family was always reading it. I don’t remember who, but I remember staring at Jackie’s face on the back while I ate my dinner.
Having read ‘Chances,’ I can see why that person couldn’t put the book down because I was equally addicted. Jackie did that thing you expect from good authors. She took me to a new world.
