Her dad (John Wilson Bullock) was a voice coach and a United States Army employee.
She joined Fortis Films with Sandra Bullock (Gesine’s sister) in 1995. As the president and lawyer of the production company, Gesine co-produced her sister’s movies, films such as
Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous and
Gun Shy and helped develop dozens of others, including
Miss Congeniality,
Practical Magic, and
The George Lopez Show.
Gesine went to the University of Virginia and Southwestern Law School, and became a licensed attorney in 1997.
She left the film industry in 2004 and then moved to Vermont. She owned a bakery, called Gesine Confectionary, located in Montpelier from 2005 to 2008.
Gesine is host of Baked in Vermont and appears on
Beat Bobby Flay,
Worst Cooks, and
Christmas Cookie Challenge as a judge.
Gesine’s also a pastry instructor at her own baking school in Hartford, Vermont, Sugar Glider Kitchen, and at King Arthur Flour Company.
On April 3, 1999, she married Raymond Prado, a storyboard artist.
