I love the extensive research Fiona does for her books. A few years ago, I wouldn’t have given her that compliment. Back then, I was simply enthralled by her stories and characters. But then I joined a book group on social media whose members had an insatiable thirst for history.
They pointed out all the historically accurate elements of Fiona’s work. In the process, they enhanced my appreciation for her books while also igniting my interest in history.
I have actually started planning a trip to visit some of the places Fiona has written about. It will take me a few months to get everything together. But the prospect of visiting the places I’ve read about has me excited.
