Felicia Day

Felicia Day (Kathryn Felicia Day) was born on June 28th, 1979 and is currently 46 years old. Felicia Day was born in Huntsville, AL, USA. Day attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a mathematics degree.

Felicia Day is best known as an actress, writer, and producer who has starred in several popular films and television series. She is widely recognized for her role as Charlie Bradbury on Supernatural and her recurring role on the science fiction series Eureka. She also portrayed Kinga Forrester in the reboot of Mystery Science Theater 3000, a fan-favorite villain who carries on her family's legacy of riffing terrible movies.

While her television roles brought her acclaim, Day is perhaps most influential for her pioneering work in web video - both in front of and behind the camera. She starred in and co-created Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Joss Whedon’s Emmy-winning internet musical, which was named one of the best TV experiences of the year by People Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and Time Magazine.

She also created, wrote, and starred in the groundbreaking web series The Guild, which humorously chronicled the lives of online gamers. The Guild won numerous awards and was nominated by the Producers Guild of America for Best Web Series. It even led to a successful line of comics published by Dark Horse Comics.

In 2012, Day launched the YouTube channel Geek & Sundry, which became a hub for geek culture and original web content. The channel has since accumulated more than 200 million views and over a million subscribers. In 2014, she sold the company to Legendary Entertainment, but continues to serve as its Chief Creative Officer, developing original content for web and television.

Day’s memoir, You’re Never Weird on the Internet, was published in 2015. In it, she shares her journey from being homeschooled in the Deep South to becoming one of the internet’s first content creators. The book is a candid account of her rise to fame, the challenges of being a woman in gaming and tech culture, and her personal struggles with burnout, addiction, and anxiety. It encourages readers to embrace their uniqueness and forge their own paths.

Continuing that theme, Day released Embrace Your Weird in 2019, an interactive self-help book designed to help readers break through creative blocks. Drawing from her own experience, Day provides insights and exercises that tackle self-doubt, perfectionism, and fear, with the goal of helping others find joy and creative freedom.

In 2023, Day published Third Eye, a fantasy novel set in a magical version of San Francisco. The story follows Laurel Pettigrew, a failed “Chosen One” who once had the destiny to defeat the villain Tybus - but didn’t. Now a social outcast, Laurel gets a second chance when she teams up with Kate, a seemingly ordinary human who holds mysterious knowledge that might help Laurel reclaim her fate.
