Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti was born on June 10th, 1959 and is currently 66 years old. Carlo Ancelotti was born in Reggiolo, Italy.

Carlo Ancelotti is one of European football’s most celebrated managers. Over his long career, he won at least 20 trophies and made history as one of only three managers to win the UEFA Champions League or the European Cup three times, which he did with Real Madrid and AC Milan.

Before he became the manager that he is today, Ancelotti was a versatile midfielder who won the European Cup twice and won three Scudettos. He also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA European Championship with Italy in 1988 and also played in two World Cups.

Carlo Ancelotti’s first stint as a coach was when he worked under Arrigo Sacchi and took Italy to the 1994 World Cup finals. He would then coach Parma and Reggiana before moving on to Juventus and then AC Milan. He won the UEFA Champions League twice and spent seven years at the San Siro before he moved on to coach Chelsea in the English Premier League.

He was the first Italian manager to win the English Premier League, as he won the first-ever double for Chelsea FC and even secured when his team won the FA Cup final when they beat Portsmouth. After finishing second the following season, he left Chelsea and moved to Paris Saint Germain, where he won the French championship.

He would then win the Champions League with Real Madrid, the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich and after a season with Napoli back in Italy, he moved to England to take charge of Everton in 2019. After a mid-table finish, Carlo Ancelotti announced that he was leaving to go take charge of Real Madrid.

In 2009, Carlo Ancelotti published The Beautiful Games of an Ordinary Genius, which tells of his life growing up in provincial Italy to stories of how he played with the best players in the world. With characteristic humor and sharp insights, he compares the English and Italian games and reflects on the World Cup in 2010. It is a work told by one of the best tacticians in the world, even as Ancelotti also comes across as an ordinary man who made it in the cutthroat world of soccer.

Quiet Leadership is a work that Carlo Ancelotti published in 2016. The work offers deep insights into Ancelotti’s leadership and management style. He is known for his style which involves setting an example of being slow to anger, and calm under pressure which he expects his charges to do too. He shows how he used this style over the years and offers guidance on how his techniques apply to just about any level of management.
