David’s novels are populated by funny and interesting characters with some great murder mysteries. Have checked out everything that he has written and enjoyed each one of them.
One example would be Silent Bite, which is an incredible book of his that is filled with action, a lot of heroes and villains, would be hitmen, intelligent dogs, and Marcus.
His Andy Carpenter series is outstanding and is always entertaining. All of them are must reads. Andy does a great job of cheering me up and I feel like a close friend of his, making me feel happier just reading about him.
While the mysteries in this series are great, what keeps me coming back is Andy Carpenter’s humor and his beloved dog Tara. She reminds me of my old dog and she’s incredibly smart and loyal.
That said, the mysteries are good as well. I don’t think there would be over twenty in the Andy Carpenter list of books if they weren’t.
I started reading Rosenfelt’s Andy Carpenter series because of the dog character. I was amused by the idea of a dog that assisted her lawyer owner in the courtroom. But alas, the dog’s role was minimal, at least in the few books I’ve read so far.
And to be fair, I appreciated the role he played. Tara is Andy’s one true companion, giving him the love and comfort he needs during the most challenging stages of his cases.
But even without the golden retriever, the Andy Carpenter books are solid mysteries. I started reading them because of Tara, but I stuck around because of Andy and Laurie.
What is the difference between Dog-tripping and Puppy Express? Aren’t they the same book? BTW: Dog-tripping is a wonderful book!
Yep researched it and they are the same book – just with a different title.
I have read all of David Rosenfelt Books. I love the Andy Carpenter character – love his humor and the added mystery connection. Good Series!
I am so hooked on the Andy Carpenter series! It’s funny, always has a dog or two in it and a great plot!!!
