Hi everyone, and welcome to the March 2025 Recap Newsletter.
It’s been a busy month at Book Notification. We now have over 72,000 authors humanly audited and added to the site. We launched with just 12,000 authors in January 2023, so this is an incredible accomplishment. We have 100,000 circled as the milestone number when we will finally be finished with the “audit and add authors” phase, and we’re all looking forward to that.
We should hit that target later this year, then the database team can work on various other projects which will greatly enhance the Book Notification experience.
We have two big announcements that I am excited about.
First, we’ve launched one of the most requested features on Book Notification—the Select All feature! You’ll find more details later in the newsletter.
Second, we’re introducing the Page Turners Club—a brand new way to support Book Notification while enjoying an ad-free experience!
Since launching this site in 2023, we’ve consistently received two types of emails:
- Readers thanking us for creating Book Notification and asking if they can donate to support the site.
- Readers frustrated by display ads, while understanding they’re necessary for keeping the site running.
With the Page Turners Club, we’ve found the perfect solution for both.
What Is The Page Turners Club?
It’s a paid membership option for Book Notification that offers an ad-free experience while supporting the site’s continued growth.
It’s $4.99 USD per month, or $49.99 if you sign up on an annual basis (Save two months with the annual plan).
The Page Turners Club exists to provide an ad-free experience and a few extra perks, but we will never lock any site features behind a paywall. Rest assured that whether you are a member of the Page Turners Club or not, you will always have access to the same great features on Book Notification.
Additional Perks for Page Turners Club Members:
- Extra Contest Entries When you enter our monthly contest for 10 $25 gift cards, your entry is counted twice.
- Exclusive Giveaways: Special contests just for Page Turners Club members. (Launching mid-April)
- Priority Support and Author Add Requests: Get your requests handled faster.
Joining the Page Turners Club is completely optional and other than display ads, will not affect your experience in any way. Book Notification will always be free and fully accessible, with no locked features or paywalls.

We are setting records every day for new users signing up, and seeing so many of them citing friends or family recommending the site to them makes all the hard work worth it.
It’s an incredible feeling knowing so many people are out there talking about this project we have worked so hard on. And we have so many more exciting plans that we can’t wait to reveal to you!

Site Improvements & Updates
Select “All” Feature: We have now added the highly requested ability of being able to select all books within a series, and set them with the same status – all at once.
If you don’t care about giving ratings, writing a review or writing notes, and just want to mark every book in the Jack Reacher series as read, you can do that with just 3 clicks.
Want to eliminate all non-fiction books from an author, or a particular series, from your “Still To Read” list? You can do that just as easily using this same process.
Using the author David J. Gatward as an example – let’s say you want to mark all books in the DCI Harry Grimm series as “read”. Just click the icon above the numbered list:
Then choose the “Read” status from the popup”:
A confirmation popup will appear. Click “Ok” to proceed. A green checkmark will appear to show your update was successful, and you’ll see that all the books are now marked as read.
Note that this will only affect the books without a status. If you read the first two books in a series, marked them as read, then decided you want to mark the rest as “Not Interested” or “Want To Read” then it would only update the books that don’t currently have that “Read” status.

Quality content and discussion are always beneficial for our website. This month, we are asking you to write a comment on an author’s page. It can be whatever you want. You can write about how they are your favourite author, what their best book or series is, or about an adaptation of their book. Any and all comments are welcome.
We will give away ten $25 USD gift cards to random people who have submitted a comment from the day this newsletter was published, up until the beginning of the next newsletter. Each comment earns you an entry (or ‘ticket’) into the draw, and you can enter multiple times so comment as much as you want!
Members of the Page Turners Club will get an additional entry into the contest for every comment they post.
The comment form is at the bottom of every author’s page, under the title “Author Discussion”.
