Pulitzer Prize Winner David McCullough Has Died

Author David McCullough has sadly passed away.

David died on Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at the age of 89. He celebrated his 89th birthday just a month ago. The Pennsylvania native was born on July 7th, 1933.

The American author was most famous for his presidential biographies.

David was a multiple Pulitzer Prize-winning author. He won the Pulitzer Prize for both Truman in 1992, and John Adams in 2001.

David also received many other awards for his novels, including two National Book Awards. In December 2006, David was also a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

David’s most recent novel was The Pioneers. This was a New York Times bestseller and was the story of the settling of the Northwest Territory.
