February promises to be an excellent month for new book releases.
If you’re a fan of spy thrillers, you’ll be excited to hear about the return of both Orphan X and the Gray Man. We’ve also got some classic series with new books, such as the Hamish Macbeth series and the Alex Delaware series.
There are new series starting by some of your favourite authors, and some great standalone novels as well.

February 1st:
Lee Child releases a new short story to start the month off titled Eleven Numbers. In this novella, A quiet math professor is thrust into a high-stakes spy game when his skills could unlock secrets that shift global power.
February 4th:
The first big Tuesday release day will see the release of Deep End, a standalone novel by Ali Hazelwood. A focused diver and a disciplined swim captain make waves in a steamy, no-strings college romance that dives deeper than they planned.
Pam Jenoff also has a new standalone novel coming out on the 4th. In Last Twilight in Paris, A Parisian department store, a mysterious necklace, and a woman’s quest to unlock a decade-old mystery are at the center of this riveting novel of love and survival.
I know we’ve got many Alex Delaware fans out there, so you’ll be happy to hear that the 40th entry of this great series is out on the 4th. In Open Season by Jonathan Kellerman, psychologist Alex Delaware and Detective Milo Sturgis dive into Hollywood’s dark side to catch a killer before the body count climbs any higher.
And J.D. Robb has the latest entry in the In Death series out on the 4th. In Bonded in Death, Lieutenant Eve Dallas hunts a killer tied to a secret group from the Urban Wars, uncovering buried loyalties and a deadly mission targeting those who remain.
February 11th:
It’s one of the most popular series of the last decade, and on the second big Tuesday release day of February, Orphan X is back! The latest entry in the series by Gregg Hurwitz is Nemesis, and Evan Smoak must hunt down his best friend after a betrayal, but their clash is just the start as a deadlier threat looms in this explosive Orphan X thriller.
Another great series is the Cotton Malone series by Steve Berry, and the latest entry is out this month. Cotton Malone races to uncover a centuries-old Vatican debt and the lost heirs of the Medici, with Italy’s future hanging in the balance in The Medici Return.
February 18th:
Just as you have recovered from the thrills of Orphan X, a week later it’s time to make that heart beat a little bit faster again with Midnight Black, the latest in the Gray Man series by Mark Greaney.
The Gray Man faces frozen wastelands and ruthless Russian forces to rescue his lover from a brutal gulag in this relentless thriller.
And R.W. Green continues the great Hamish Macbeth series by M.C. Beaton with Death of a Smuggler. Hamish juggles murder, a missing man, and his constable’s hidden past, all while clashing with his nemesis in the not-so-quiet Highlands.
The final big Tuesday release day of the month is a big one. Joe Pickett is back in Battle Mountain, the latest novel by C.J. Box. Outlaw falconer Nate Romanowski seeks revenge while Joe Pickett tracks a missing man, their paths colliding in a deadly showdown on Battle Mountain.
The fourth novel in the Tate and Bell Mystery series by Irina Shapiro is out on the 25th as well. In Murder at the Orpheus Theatre, two actors are murdered onstage, and Inspector Bell and nurse Gemma Tate delve into the dark secrets of Victorian Covent Garden, where danger lurks behind every mask.
Carlene O’Connor releases Murder in an Irish Garden, the 11th novel in the Irish Village Mystery series. Garda Siobhán O’Sullivan must dig through gardening drama and blooming suspicions to solve a murder tied to Kilbane’s chaotic Top Garden Contest.
