On October 21st, BN celebrates the birthday of Ursula K. Le Guin. The legendary science fiction author of the Earthsea Series and the Hainish Cycle Series had a huge influence on the genre of speculative fiction and inspired many other authors in the years to come. Many credit her with creating the idea of a “wizard school” which has been seen in many books since, including the Harry Potter Series. Her influence reaches far and wide, including with some of today’s new releases.
“The Enemy Face Off” is the third book in the Hockeymances Series by Ash Kelly. The book can be read as a standalone, but you will get more out of it by reading the previous two books.

“Stone of Lust” is the third book in the Stones of Iona Series by Margaret Izard. The fantasy romance series follows an American woman, a time-traveling Laird, and the evil forces of the Fae.
The Outlier Mage Series by Ken Pence continues with “PSI”. The young adult sci-fantasy series follows an Outlier Mage on the planet Trace.
