On Friday, May 2nd, we celebrate National Brothers and Sisters Day. Where would we be without siblings? For some, you probably would’ve gotten a lot more reading done if they weren’t making so much noise. For others, you might not have ever read our favorite book without them. Either way, we cherish them and our memories with them. Here’s today’s full list of new books.
One More Day of Us is a heartfelt novel by Shari Low. In 1990, three young singers—Moira Chiles, Carina Lloyd, and Lisa Dixon—soared through the glamorous nightlife of Hong Kong, performing in a luxury hotel bar and living life to the fullest. But when Moira faces a life-altering decision, the trio’s bond is fractured.
Thirty-five years later, newly retired and longing for closure, Moira returns to Hong Kong. With a bold invitation to her former friends, she hopes to rekindle the sisterhood they once shared. But as past secrets resurface in the city that once held their dreams, Moira must confront whether some friendships were built to last—or meant to fade with time.
The Destin Diaries Series by Hope Holloway and Cecelia Scott continues with The Summer We Danced. As tensions rise in the Summer House, Tessa unexpectedly becomes the key to healing, bridging two divided families for the sake of a little girl. Vivien faces a challenging client who shakes her hard-won confidence, just as a mysterious stranger complicates things further. Meanwhile, Tessa and Lacey begin to trust each other as a long-buried secret emerges. With spring turning to summer, each woman must decide: will they break free from the past or remain out of sync with the future they long for?
The Flight of the Spellbound is the second book in the Karneesia Chronicles Series by Claire Trella Hill. For nine years, Eyl has been forced to transform daily under a cruel wizard’s control—until Fee, the High Wizard’s rebellious son, arrives to help her escape. Breaking the spell is only the beginning. As they flee through haunted forests and war zones, Eyl and Fee grow from wary allies to something more. But with powerful enemies in pursuit and Eyl’s past closing in, freedom may demand the ultimate price.
A Ballad of Vengeance is a standalone novel by Karim Soliman. After decades in exile, Aqen returns to Kemet for one final battle, seeking vengeance against a titan and to protect his family from a looming threat. Weary and aware this may be his last fight, he marches toward destiny. Meanwhile, his wife Birna journeys north with their children to find help, risking the wrath of the Nordland titans. With fate closing in, the family must face fear with fury, forging a legend that will echo across both lands—the ballad of vengeance.
