It’s Friday, and it’s a special one as today is National Pizza Party Day. Who doesn’t love pizza? There is no bad pizza, only less good pizza. There are a lot of good pizzas out there, but today, I suggest cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and a list of today’s new books. We’ve got that last topping covered below.
Winter Wishes and Coffee Kisses is the first book in the Love in Maplewood Series by Ana Ashley. In the cozy town of Maplewood, love might be just a wish—and a kiss—away. After a one-night stand with a stranger, a man relocates to Vermont to open his dream coffee shop, *Special Blend*. With no family left and a heart in need of healing, he’s embraced by the locals and begins to feel truly at home. But it’s his next-door neighbor, Nate—a tall, rugged, lumberjack type—who really catches his eye. There’s something familiar about him that he can’t quite place.
Nate may be a bit gruff, but warm muffins, rich coffee, and sweet ice cream have a way of breaking down walls. As their chemistry grows, unexpected visitors arrive with shocking news about the newcomer’s past—news Nate seems to already know. With the Winter Wishes Festival in full swing, he must decide whether to trust Nate with his heart or risk losing a love he never expected to find.
The Half Moon Lake Heroes: Red Line Series by A.J. Ranney begins with Playing with Fire. Logan Murray, a gruff firefighter, is off-limits for a long list of reasons. Not only is he more than a decade older, but he’s also a teammate of the protagonist’s brother and seemingly curses her very existence. But when she takes a job as the nanny to his twin daughters, she finds herself spending more time with the single dad. The more time they spend together, the more she begins to realize there’s more to his growly exterior than meets the eye. Despite the risks, she can’t help but feel drawn to him, wondering if it’s worth playing with fire for a chance at something more.
Seduced by a Scoundrel is the first book in the Tales from the Brotherhood Series by Merry Farmer. Jeremy Wilkes, London’s most sought-after tailor, is thrilled when Sir John Conroy invites him to Kensington Palace for a fitting. However, things take a dangerous turn when he overhears a secret plot between Conroy and the Duchess of Kent to seize regency over Princess Victoria once the king dies. Realizing his life is in danger, Jeremy turns to Metropolitan Police Officer Derek Talboys for help. Derek, still grieving the loss of his lover, seeks distraction and flirts with Jeremy. But as attempts are made on Jeremy’s life, their connection deepens, and what began as a distraction evolves into something far more serious.
His Perfect Darkness by Lee Savino is the first in a duet. It is a dark billionaire romance with intense, sensual themes. It is book one in a duet, so beware the cliff.
