This March 5th, we celebrate the birthday of author Robin Hobb. She is best known for writing fantasy novels in the Realm of the Elderlings series. Her fiction has been tremendously successful, with over 4 million copies sold to date. Her work has been praised by many big-name authors, and today we wish her a happy birthday. We hope she has a good one this Thursday, and hope that all the authors releasing new books today do too.
Heavens to Betsy by Marika Ray (Southern Charm Series)
Betsy’s first day at her new boutique job ends in humiliation when she crashes into a clothing rack and discovers her cheerful boss, Silas Winthrop, is the same man she insulted in traffic. Expecting tension, she is unsettled by his constant smiles and easy forgiveness. Convinced she cannot handle the awkwardness, she quits. Silas refuses to let her go, offering a generous bonus if she helps save his late mother’s struggling shop. The deal could secure her grandmother’s home and keep the boutique alive.
Working side by side, Betsy realizes Silas is more than an annoyingly upbeat businessman. He is kind, determined, and impossible to ignore. Their partnership soon turns into a no strings arrangement fueled by undeniable chemistry. In Heavens to Betsy by Marika Ray, sparks fly between opposites as business becomes personal and two guarded hearts risk far more than a storefront.
Death and the Lost Leprechaun by Bessie Barr (A Pelican Shores Mystery Series)
A festive leprechaun hunt takes a dark turn when a body washes ashore in Death and the Lost Leprechaun by Bessie Barr. Finn Dockrey would rather focus on coffee and pottery at Sandy Brews Cafe, but when quiet visitor Sloane is found dead in the Gulf, she cannot ignore her suspicions. With her sharp witted friend Birdie, a regal tote bag cat, and an eager golden retriever at her side, Finn follows clues hidden in Sloane’s painted leprechauns. Strange symbols, travel notes, and whispers of money and betrayal point to powerful locals who may have more to hide than holiday spirit.
The Enforcer's Vow by Leighton Grace (Bratva Vows Series)
An investigation meant to expose the Bratva turns deadly in The Enforcer’s Vow by Leighton Grace. Journalist Ava expects execution when notorious enforcer Dimitri Volkov is sent after her, but instead he hides her in his penthouse and claims protecting her is the only way to keep them both alive. Dimitri confesses he has been secretly watching her for months, drawn to the very woman determined to bring his world down. As danger closes in and the Bratva discovers his betrayal, the pair become targets. Forced to trust each other, Ava must decide whether love is worth risking everything she once believed in.
