Today is Monday, June 9th, 2025, and the start of a brand-new workweek! We hope you had a great weekend – but if you’re feeling the Monday blues, there’s no better cure than a brand-new book.
There are some interesting ones to choose from today, including new releases by Kim Richardson, Larry A. Winters, and Kait Flynn. Without further ado, let’s see what new books are hitting the shelves today.
New Zealand author
Rosy Fenwicke has a new novel out today, titled
The Secret of the Angel Who Died at Midnight, which is the debut of her “DSS Kate Sutton” series. This police procedural/murder mystery series is set in the New Zealand region of Wairarapa.
In the tranquil wine town of Martinborough, Detective Senior Sergeant Kate Sutton is called to investigate the shocking murder of a beloved local doctor, Geoffrey Scott, found dead in his own garden. As Kate delves into the case, still reeling from her recent divorce, she uncovers unsettling ties to the unsolved disappearance of a young French woman three years earlier – an old case that continues to haunt her.
Deal Breaker by
Larry A. Winters is the second book in his “Hal and Kristina Nolan Legal Thrillers” series. The series is a spin-off from Winters’ other series, the “Jessie Black Legal Thrillers” series.
Still recovering from a crippling cyber attack on their law firm, married defense attorneys Hal and Kristina Nolan reluctantly accept a high-stakes murder case bankrolled by enigmatic billionaire Gavin Brantley. But as they peel back the layers, the Nolans realize they’ve been pulled into a deadly web of secrets and deception – where the cost of the truth could be their careers, their marriage, and their lives.
Kait Flynn (aka
Kait Nolan) is starting a brand new small-town firefighter romance series.
One Night Flame is the first book in the “Hot Shots of Huckleberry Creek” series.
Better yet, if you need more firefighters in your life, Kait’s second entry in the series, “Second Chance Spark” is planned to be released in August.
Cord never expected the emergency call to lead him to Doc Holliday’s – or to her. Gillian Holliday is back in Huckleberry Creek: sharp-tongued, impossible to ignore, and the woman Cord hasn’t stopped thinking about; now, with sparks flying and old wounds resurfacing, they’ll have to decide if the past is too much to outrun – or exactly what they need to face.
