In the summer of 1951, Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland premiered in London on July 26th. The movie, of course, was based on a famous book of the same name and has gone down as one of the classic works in the Disney catalog. Now, seventy-three years later we see many authors debuting their latest work to the world. Will any of these end up having that same cultural significance? Only time will tell.
One of the top releases of the day is a new tropical thriller from R.J. Patterson. “Into the Deep” will be the first book in the brand new J.D. Blunt Tropical Thriller Series. The story takes place in a tropical paradise, but just because it’s beautiful doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous.
J.D. Blunt is a former director of a U.S. covert agency who heads to the Caribbean for his retirement. He had hoped to leave that world behind, but he’s soon called in to help when strange shipments of illegal weapons begin to surface in the region. Wallstreet Journal and USA Today bestselling author Natasha Madison is releasing the third book in the Meant For Series. “Meant For Love” is a billionaire, marriage pact, opposites attract romance that takes place in Las Vegas. They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but what if you end up married?
Fans of mysteries will be pleased to hear the second book in Albert Smith’s Mystery Thrillers Series by Steve Higgs is being released today. “Old School” sees retired detective Albert Smith and his trusty dog Rex heading to a small town in the French mountains. Little do they know, mystery awaits.
“The Final Round” is a character-driven Southern fiction novel set in the world of golf by USA Today bestselling author, Ernest Dempsey. The standalone novel is a thrilling tale about talent, adversity, and finding out how to handle the two.
