February 26th is a day many authors celebrate, whether they know it or not. That’s because this Thursday is “Tell a Fairy Tale Day”, a day to celebrate the oldest of magical tales. Fairy tales are a huge part of our reading lives, so a day like today is a joyous time that should be celebrated by all. Whether it’s Aesop or a more modern fairytale, today is a great time to celebrate the writers and their stories.
The Crime Lord’s Property by Charmaine Ross (Vahiri Prime Series)
To save her brother, she offers herself in his place, signing a contract that makes her the property of Drazex Draven, chief enforcer of the most feared crime family on Vahiri Prime. Towering, lethal, and known for ruthless efficiency, Drazex is the last male anyone would expect to show restraint. Yet instead of treating her as a disposable asset, he surprises her with small mercies and guarded protection that hint at something far more complicated than ownership.
As enforcers within House Draven begin turning up dead, she becomes the only one capable of uncovering the truth behind the killings. The investigation forces them into dangerous proximity, blurring the lines between duty and desire. In The Crime Lord’s Property by Charmaine Ross, power and vulnerability collide amid betrayal and conspiracy. If the enemy lies within their own ranks, exposing the truth could destroy House Draven and cost them both everything.
