On August 15th, 1969, the Woodstock Music & Art Fair began. The concert featured some of the biggest rock acts of all time and its reputation has only grown in the ensuing years. What does this have to do with books? All of these authors below are releasing new books today, and we think that rocks!
John Spearman, author of the award-winning FitzDuncan Series, is back with a new adventure. “Burden” will be the first book in a series of the same name.
The book features a man waking up on an uncharted island with no memory. In another part of the world in Boreas, a king is dead by an assassin’s hand. A member of the court is suspected to be behind it. One of the Palace Guard lieutenants sets out to find the king’s brother, sailing to Auster on the southern continent. He finds Auster, his country’s ally, under attack and sets off to sound the alarm. The events in Boreas and Auster are linked and part of a much bigger scheme of an enemy.
The Lost Girls Series by Holly Roberds is a series of spicy fairytale retellings. The latest book in the series is “Igniting Cinder” and is a spicy retelling of the classic Cinderella story. The M/F fairytale features a pretend engagement heating up in a dance of ink, charm, and forbidden desires.
“Dead Ever After” by Jack Stainton is the second book in the Two’s Company Series. This book is a direct sequel to “The Boss’s Wife” and is another psychological thriller.
Ann Bennett‘s World War Two Orphanage Series begins with “The Orphan List”. The historical fiction novel tells the story of one nurse’s courage during the darkest days of World War II.
