New Book Releases: June 2nd to June 8th, 2025

Welcome to the first whole week of June!

It’s an incredible week for new book releases, with approximately 400 new books coming out this week by authors listed on Book Notification.

It’s not been easy, but I’ve picked five of the best new books to feature. You can, of course, listen to our weekly podcast as Vince brings you ten more of the best books releasing this week, with in-depth coverage.

Let’s get rolling:

James Patterson and Bill Clinton reunite for the third time, with their latest standalone novel The First Gentleman by James Patterson.

As the President campaigns for reelection, her husband, a former NFL star and the First Gentleman, is on trial for murder. Two journalists race to uncover the truth, exposing secrets that could bring down the entire administration.

Author of series such as the Blessings, Georgia series, Sharon Sala, starts a new series this week.

It’s the Crossroads series, and the first book in this small-town romance series is called Sunset.

After a near-death fall ends his rodeo career, Sonny Bluejacket inherits a ranch in Crossroads, Texas and meets Maggie Brennen, a talented waitress with a hidden gift for painting. As their bond grows, Sonny finds purpose and love, but his troubled father returns to cause trouble and put everything at risk.

Known for her beautiful and touching stories, RaeAnne Thayne is back with another delightful novel, a small-town contemporary romance.

In The Lost Book of First Loves, when Alison Wells discovers she has a half-sister, she takes a job as Juniper Connolly’s intern to learn the truth. After Ali saves June’s life, the two escape to a quiet Wyoming town where buried secrets come to light and a real sisterhood begins to grow.

Exciting news for fans of arguably the best author duo of all time, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, as they release the latest entry in the Nora Kelly series.

In Badlands, a woman’s skeleton is found in the New Mexico desert clutching ancient lightning stones, and FBI Agent Corrie Swanson teams up with archaeologist Nora Kelly to investigate. As more bodies appear and ancient rituals resurface, they uncover a terrifying force that was never meant to be awakened.

And if you are looking for a thriller to keep you entertained this week, look no further than The Ghostwriter. This is the latest standalone by Julie Clark, author of great books such as “The Last Flight” and “The Lies I Tell”.

In 1975, the Taylor family was torn apart when two siblings were murdered, and the third, Vincent, was blamed but never charged. Decades later, his daughter Olivia agrees to ghostwrite his final book, only to learn he’s ready to reveal the truth about that night for the first time.
