New Book Releases: July 7th to July 13th, 2025

Welcome to the 2nd week of July! We’re well into Summer now, and this is when we get to see some incredible new books being released.

This week, we have over 350 new books released. I am focusing on five of them here, and then Vince has another ten covered on the new book releases podcast, so don’t miss that!

One that I have had pre-ordered since its initial announcement is The Woman in Suite 11. This is written by Ruth Ware, and it has me greatly intrigued as she has only written standalone novels up to this point. However, this is a follow-up to her blockbuster hit, The Woman in Cabin 10.

So I am really looking forward to seeing her return to the character Lo Blacklock and seeing where this one takes us.

In this sequel, Lo Blacklock is desperate to revive her journalism career, and the invite to a luxury hotel opening in Switzerland feels like the perfect opportunity. The chateau is stunning, the guests are elite, and an interview with reclusive billionaire Marcus Leidmann could put her back on the map.

While it is Summer and the weather is primarily beautiful, we do, of course, get treated to the occasional storm. My family is visiting this week from Scotland, so I’m hoping the only storms I see this week are the family in the new novel by Sarah MacLean, titled These Summer Storms.

Stone and Sky gets its North American release this week. It’s the tenth full-length novel in the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch.

In the latest novel, all DS Peter Grant is looking for is a lovely vacation in Scotland. However, he’s going to need another vacation to recover from this one! A body has been found at a bus stop, straight from the sea, and something smells fishy right from the get-go!

If you’re not relaxing at a cottage this week and waking up to the view from a lake every day, then we’ve got the best alternative for you: the latest novel by Adriana Trigiani, which is an Amazon Editor’s Pick in “Best Literature & Fiction”.

The View from Lake Como is on a lot of the hot summer lists such as USA Today’s “Most Anticipated Reads”, and a “Best Book of Summer 2025” by Elle.
