It’s the middle of August, and we have a great week ahead for new books.
Author of The Dog Stars, Peter Heller, has a new novel coming out on August 13th. It’s titled “Burn” and is an Amazon Editor’s Pick for ‘Best Literature & Fiction’. It’s the story of two childhood friends, now men, who go off the grid for a few weeks, and when they emerge, they realize they have entered a dystopian country full of violence.
Big news for fans of the Pendergast series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child as the latest novel in that series, “Agent of Vengeance”, is out on Tuesday.
Joshua Hood is taking a break from his incredible Treadstone series and is treating us to a new standalone thriller. Titled “Burnout”, it’s about Jake Slade, who has trained as a US Forest Service’s elite smokejumper and has to help out an old friend at the DEA. Jake has to hunt someone down – but what begins as a search and rescue mission becomes a nightmare.
A fun new novella by our most popular author, Freida McFadden, is out on August 12th. It’s titled “The Widow’s Husband’s Secret Lie” and is a satire of the psychological thriller genre. Sounds like a fun one.
If it’s romance you are after, Grace Reilly has a new novel out this week. “Wicked Serve” is the fourth novel in the Beyond the Play series and is an Amazon Editor’s pick for ‘Best Romance”.
