Author of the Ring of FIre series Eric Flint has sadly passed away.
Eric was 75 at the time of his passing. The news was released on social media. Author John Scalzi was one of the first to announce his passing.

Eric was famous primarily for the Ring of Fire series of novels, also referred to as the 1632 series.
This was an incredible series of novels that were alternate history sci-fi. It was also a very educational series and an incredible universe.
Eric collaborated with various other novels while writing the series, such as Andrew Dennis and David Weber.
The last novel that Eric released was part of that universe. It was entitled A 1632 Christmas and was released in December 2021.
In 1993, Eric was the winner of the Writers of the Future award, with the story he wrote entitled Entropy, and the Strangler.
Multiple Eric Flint books were on the NYT Bestseller list. Eric had also received the Dal Coger Memorial Hall of Fame award.
