2023 Lefty Award Winners Announced!

The 2023 Lefty Award winners were announced last week at the Left Coast Crime convention in Tucson, Arizona.

The Lefty Awards are given to mystery novels that feature a humorous aspect. They are named after Lefty O’Brien, a fictional detective who was known for his wit and humour. The Lefty Awards were first given out in 2008 and are presented at the Left Coast Crime convention, which is an annual conference for mystery writers and fans.

Winning a Lefty Award is considered a significant achievement in the mystery writing community and can provide an enormous boost to an author’s career. In addition to recognizing excellence in the genre, the awards emphasize the importance of humor in storytelling, showcasing the enduring popularity of mystery novels that combine thrills and laughs.
