The nominees for the 2022 Anthony Awards have been announced. The winners will be announced on Saturday, September 10th. It will take place at Bouchercon, which takes place in Minneapolis on September 8th through 11th, 2022.
Multiple award winning author S.A. Cosby is in the running for Best Mystery Novel. His novel, Razorblade Tears, has already win an award as the International Thriller Writer’s Award for Best Hardcover Novel and has been optioned by Paramount.
He will be contending against Tracy Clark (Runner), Alison Gaylin (The Collective), Naomi Hirahara (Clark and Division) and Rachel Howzell Hall (These Toxic Things).
S.A. Cosby will be looking to become a two time winner, having won the award for Best Hardcover Novel in 2021, with Blacktop Wasteland.
This will be the third nomination in these awards for both Rachel Howzell Hall and Tracy Clark.
Alison Gaylin has been nominated four times in total, dating back to 2013 with And She Was for Best Paperback Original.
This is also the third nomination for Naomi Hirahara, who has been nominated twice before for Best Paperback Original.
Best First Mystery novel will see a winner picked out of Yasmin Angoe, Zakiya Dalila Harris, Heather Levy, Mia P. Manansala and Wanda M. Morris.
Tracy Clark and S.A. Cosby are both also nominated in the Best Short Story category.
