Summer is in full swing, and this time of year is always busy, busy, busy. When life gets busy, there’s nothing like reading to help escape from it all. Make sure you’re saving some time for yourself, and I’m back with some more book picks to help you do it.
The last book I read was The Traitor Baru Cormorant, and I’m in the process of picking my next one. There are more books in the series, but I don’t want to go back to that world right away. Or maybe ever.
That’s something I’ve been practicing this year. If I read a book that is #1 in a series, no matter how much I like it, I’m okay with reading something else instead of trying to finish them all. You can just read one book and stop there, it’s okay. That’s allowed. There is so much that I want to read that I don’t want to spend half my year focusing on one or two authors simply because they wrote a bunch of sequels.
