Tony Evans (Anthony Tyrone Evans Sr.) was born on September 10th, 1949 and is currently 76 years old. Tony Evans was born in Baltimore, MD, USA. Evans attended Carver College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and Dallas Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Theology degree and a Doctor of Theology degree.

Tony Evans is an American evangelical pastor, speaker, and author. From 1976 until 2024, he served as the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas. His teaching program is broadcast nationwide on the Christian Satellite Network (CSN).

Evans is recognized as the first African American to write and publish both a complete Bible commentary and a study Bible. He has authored more than 100 books, including Oneness Embraced, The Kingdom Agenda, Kingdom Man, The Tony Evans Study Bible, and The Tony Evans Bible Commentary.

Divine Disruption is a powerful and deeply personal book by Dr. Tony Evans and his four children, Chrystal Evans Hurst, Priscilla Shirer, Anthony Evans, and Jonathan Evans. It offers a biblical and conversational look at how God can use the most difficult experiences in life to draw people closer to Him and to strengthen faith.

The book focuses on the hardships everyone faces and shows how God can break through pain with the power of hope. The Evans family speaks about the deep grief they endured after losing six loved ones in less than two years.

The most devastating loss was the passing of Lois Evans, the wife of Tony Evans and the mother of the family. Alongside their personal grief, they also discuss the struggles that many people encounter such as job loss, health problems caused by the worldwide pandemic, challenges in marriage and relationships, difficulties with children, and the pain brought by racial and political unrest.

In Divine Disruption the Evans family joins together in what they call a Kingdom Legacy partnership. They open their hearts to share their honest questions, their raw emotions, and the lessons they learned to hold on to during their most difficult times.

By honoring the wish of Lois Evans for them to stand together, they demonstrate how their unity and individual strengths helped them endure overwhelming trials.
