I don’t know how many people saw Thr3e. I have watched many Christian films over the years, and they rarely meet my expectations, which is why I’ve been hesitant to watch the adaptation of a book like Thr3e that I adore.

I don’t know why people think that Christian fiction is boring. Admittedly, Dekker is the only Christian author I read these days. So maybe other Christian authors are a disappointment.

But that should encourage non-Christians to give Dekker a chance. I have never read more entertaining Christian fiction in my life. Dekker is not afraid to discuss his religion. In fact, he does so boldly. And yet, the religious aspects are just one small component of his stories.

He goes out of his way to inject mystery and suspense into his books. If you took the Christian messages out, Dekker’s books would fit perfectly into the contemporary mystery, suspense, and fantasy genres.
