Marvel Comics when a newly hired editor began calling theaters asking if they had the contacts of any playwrights who might want to work in comics. She was recommended to Roberto and she loved his plays and asked him to pitch some comic books.
Roberto Aguire-Sacasa ultimately got assigned some work in 2004 when he was put in charge of the eleven-page

Fantastic Four stories his own and would ultimately work on
Dead of Night,
The Sensational Spider-Man, and
Nightcrawler.
In 2008, he wrote
Secret Invasion miniseries with a tie-in to the
Fantastic Four. In 2013, he worked on
Afterlife with Archie and the success of that work got him promoted to chief creative officer for
Archie Comics.
In 2009, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa published the graphic novel
American Nightmares alongside Stephen King.
The work tells the story of Captain Trips, the deadly super flu that has been ravaging the country leaving few survivors in its wake. The survivors coalesce around two factions one led by Randall Flagg, a despicable fellow, and the other by Mother Abagail, a saintly woman. The work also explores the moral and psychological challenges the survivors face in the dangerous new world they now live in.
Hardcases the second novel of
The Stand series chronicles the life and times of The Trashcan Man who was not taken out so that he can join Randall Flagg’s dark army that intends to destroy the world. He could not have been happier given that he is a pyromaniac. But first, he has to travel to Las Vegas to find Flagg. Along the way, he has to deal with a hard case more dangerous and crazier than he is.
