Robert Costa

Robert Costa was born on October 14th, 1985 and is currently 40 years old. Robert Costa was born in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Costa attended the University of Notre Dame where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and the University of Cambridge where he received a Master of Philosophy degree.

Robert Costa is an American journalist, a national correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning and the chief Washington analyst for CBS News. He worked for many years as a political reporter at The Washington Post before joining CBS in 2022. He also used to be a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC, and he was the host and editor of Washington Week on PBS. Costa co-wrote the bestselling book Peril in collaboration with Bob Woodward. The book talks about the final days of Donald Trump’s presidency and the attack on the U.S. Capitol in 2021.

Robert Costa’s book Peril focuses on the final months of Donald Trump’s presidency, the transition to Joe Biden’s administration, and the early days of Biden’s time in office.

The book is considered the final part of a trilogy by Woodward about Donald Trump. The first two books were Fear and Rage, which got their titles from things Trump said in a 2016 interview. The title Peril comes from President Biden’s inauguration speech. In that speech, Biden said, “We will press forward with speed and urgency, for we have much to do in this winter of peril and possibility.” This quote shows the serious and uncertain moment the country was in as Biden took office.

Robert Costa, who has worked for The Washington Post and hosted Washington Week on PBS, joined Woodward as co-author. Costa has often worked with Woodward before and has described him as a mentor. Their partnership brought together years of political reporting experience, especially in Washington, D.C.

Most of the book is an exposé and uncovers hidden or behind-the-scenes information. It explores how the Trump administration handled COVID-19, how Trump and his allies tried to stop the results of the 2020 election, and how they worked to delay the transfer of power to Biden. It also looks at Biden’s path to winning the presidency, starting with his campaign against Bernie Sanders and ending with his victory over Trump.

The book has two storylines: one that follows Trump’s re-election campaign and efforts to hold onto power, and one that follows Biden’s campaign and eventual success.

One important moment covered in the book is a phone call between General Mark Milley, the top U.S. military officer, and a Chinese general, Li Zuocheng, which happened two days after the January 6 Capitol riot. The book shares new information about how worried some U.S. officials were about what Trump might do in his final days in office.

If you're interested in U.S. politics, presidential power, and what happened behind closed doors during a very tense and uncertain time, Peril gives you a detailed and revealing look. Though some critics feel it could have gone deeper or been more focused, it still provides new information and insider details that history buffs and political readers will find valuable.
