Rob McInroy was born in Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland. McInroy attended University of Hull where he received a MA in Creative Writing and University of Hull where he received a PhD in American Literature.

Rob McInroy is the author of the Bob Kelty series which currently consists of 2 novels. The Bob Kelty series started in 2020 with the novel Cuddies Strip.
