his website that the book was "gone but not forgotten". Morgan said that he hoped to return to the Hakan Veil Series, but the story he had written wasn't right, and he had moved on to other projects.
When
No Man's Land was announced, many assumed this was
Gone Machine with it even appearing on websites as the second book in the Hakan Veil Series. This was not correct.
No Man's Land is a standalone novel with no connection to Hakan Veil.

Altered Carbon, the third book in the Takeshi Kovacs series, was adapted into a Netflix series in 2018. The book had been optioned for a movie in 2003, but remained in development hell until the series was finally made. The show aired for two seasons. The first season starred Joel Kinnaman as Kovacs while the role went to Anthony Mackie for season two. There were also other versions Kovacs who appeared on the show in flashback.
Netflix also produced an anime spin-off of the show to expand the universe of the series. It was known as Altered Carbon: Resleeved and written by Dai Sat? and Tsukasa Kondo. Ray Chase provided the voice for Kovacs in the series.
