The Ancient Giants Who Ruled America: The Missing Skeletons and the Great Smithsonian Cover-Up is a study of the substantial evidence for a former race of giants in North America and its 150-year suppression by the Smithsonian Institution.
The book reveals the Stonehenge-era megalithic burial complex located on Catalina Island, which contains more than 4,000 giant skeletons, including kings over 9 feet tall. It also includes 100 rare pictures and illustrations of the lost evidence. The book shows how thousands of giant skeletons have been discovered, especially in the Mississippi Valley and the ruins of the giants’ cities.
Drawing on 400 years of state historical records, photos, newspaper articles, first-person accounts, and illustrated field reports, Richard reveals that this advanced race of giants ruled North America and that the Smithsonian was actively suppressing the physical evidence for almost 150 years. Richard shows how thousands of these giant skeletons have been unearthed at Mound Builder sites across the continent, only to vanish from the historical record.
He examines other concealed giant discoveries, like the giant mummies found in Spirit Cave, Nevada, wrapped up in fine textiles and dating back to 8000 BCE; hundreds of red-haired bog mummies found at the sinkhole “cenotes” on the west coast of Florida and dating back to 7500 BCE; and the ruins of the giants’ cities with populations in excess of 100,000 in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arizona, and Alabama.
Richard illustrates how this suppression started right after the Civil War and became an outright cover-up in 1879. Major John Wesley Powell was appointed Smithsonian director and launched a pro-Manifest Destiny and pro-evolution agenda.
This is a comprehensive sourcebook that demystifies the giants of ancient America. It’s lavishly illustrated and a gutsy and goliath book that delivers an unprecedented wealth of info on the great mound builders. Richard digs deeper than the rest. It’s a treasure trove for archaeology and alternative history buffs. It’s an eye-opener, both in its subject matter and the amount of reporting Richard was able to hunt down.
