Reinhard Friedl
Friedl attended Ulm University.
Dr. Reinhard Friedl is a reputable emergency doctor, intensive care physician, and highly experienced heart surgeon who has worked in German hospitals for more than twenty years.
Over his long career, Friedl has conducted surgeries on thousands of hearts from elderly patients to premature babies requiring delicate repairs.
He has worked on complicated procedures such as stitching heart injuries, implanting artificial heart turbines, and working with patients with advanced heart failure.
Dr. Reinhard Friedl has also developed multimedia systems for simulation and teaching as his contribution to medical training. He has also had several of his scholarly articles published in a variety of popular and scientific works on heart medicine.
After spending decades in operating rooms, he shifted to a more holistic practice. He now combines research on awareness, deep connections between the human emotions, brain, and the heart, alongside modern cardiac treatment.
Reinhard Friedl’s work is significantly influenced by psychocardiology and neurocardiology, as these are all about how the mind and heart communicate.
Outside of his work as a doctor on land, he also works for the Mein Schiff fleet as a ship’s doctor. In his role as the Senior Doctor on the fleet, he is in charge of all matters of health for the entire fleet. He has said that working at sea allows him to scratch his exploration itch.
As an author, Reinhard Friedl published his debut work,
The Source of All Things, in which he looks at the heart from the perspective of a physician who has operated on thousands of patients.
In the operating room, he sees the uniqueness of every heart, which he believes is just like a fingerprint. He starts to reflect on why the heart, which has been the same for 300 millennia, is still linked to ideas of wisdom, courage, and love.
Combining research with patient stories, he shows how the brain and heart communicate and shape our emotions. He also contends that the heart is more critical than we could ever realize.
In 2023, he published
The Beat of Life, a work that examined the heart and how it works for the lifetime of a human, pumping 9000 liters of blood to keep them alive.
However, it is not simply a pump as it is linked to wisdom, love, joy, and courage. He looked into new research on the connection between the brain and the heart, in addition to how emotions shape the body.
By employing patient stories, he shows how the heart is the custodian of wisdom, feeling, and science.
