Fuk Ching gang, where he spent nearly a decade.
During his time with the gang, he was involved in gun running, extortion, and violence. In a gang notorious for its brutality, Moy survived numerous betrayals and gunfights, had a friend die in his arms, and faced several operations targeting organized crime.
The turning point was when Mike Moy decided to leave the gang and become a new man. He joined the NYPD and became a detective who worked on bringing down Chinese organized crime. His insider knowledge helped him excel for years before he retired.
Moy is now a documentarian, and in 2022, he launched the
Chinatown Gang Stories channel on YouTube, where he shares interviews with former Chinatown gang members. He covers stories from the 1970s to the 1990s, including the shootouts, Gambling dens, and blood oaths.
Mike Moy has also been invited to interviews and has shared his experiences at events such as

As a resident of Chinatown in Manhattan, he joined the
Fuk Ching and went on to participate in protection rackets, theft, and gun sales. He was surrounded by loss and violence and had many of his friends jailed or killed by the police or other gangs.
Finding inspiration from how Steven MacDonald, an NYPD officer, forgave a shooter, he quit his gang and joined the police. It was not long before he brought his experience to bear and became a detective patrolling the old streets to bring safety in the very places he used to terrify as a criminal.
