Michael McDonald is a bestselling author of post-apocalyptic faith-based fiction from New England. He usually works with his wife in the writing and editing of his novels and together, they lived in Russia for more than a dozen years where they worked as missionaries. They were also the founders and directors of an Indiana-based drug rehabilitation program.

Before McDonald made it big as an author, he had worked all manner of odd jobs. Some of the jobs he worked included prison chaplain, store clerk, social worker, meat cutter, missionary, factory worker, furniture installer, and small business manager.

Still, books were something that Michael McDonald always wanted to do ever since he was a kid. He decided to chase his dreams in 2022 when he published his debut novel Indiana Fall.

McDonald usually asks questions about how people find their drive in life. He also writes mostly on spiritual and religious themes in which his characters often find themselves in stressful situations and often use their faith or lack of it to make sense of the circumstances.

Michael McDonald’s Indiana Fall is a book that tells the story of Jon who leaves his office and heads out to an appointment when power goes out just about everywhere in the state. He is sixty miles from his daughters and his mother but now even his cellphone gives out too. But this is just the beginning of what will become a very concerning situation.

Indiana Fall 2 opens with the lead who was introduced in the debut trying to deal with the realization that the government will not be offering any help even as a local tyrant rises. The latter then manipulates people and offers to swipe their guns for food just so that he can get more power.

In his third novel, Indiana Fall 3, Michael McDonald continues to follow the Mac Ridlen family who are struggling to survive a countrywide blackout. Stretched to the limit, Mac and Elizabeth his wife begin to question their faith even as everything is falling apart all around them.
