When I first discovered Mary Higgins Clark, she looked like one of those prolific romance authors with an extensive bibliography filled with hundreds of novels. I was surprised to learn that she had written a little over 50 books. More importantly, her genre of choice was suspense.
I don’t know why she looks like a romance author to my eyes. I think she reminds me of another romance author. I just can’t remember who. I doubt it bothered her that she hadn’t written quite as many novels as some romance authors her age by the time she died.
After all, she sold more than 100 million copies of her books. Her work deserves the hype. From what I’ve seen, it is every bit as well-plotted as people say.
I’ve read Mary Higgins Clark since I was a teen. She has always been a favorite with very intriguing stories. The outcomes are not always predictable!
Mary Higgins Clark is one of my favorite authors. I truly enjoy reading her books and was extremely sad when she passed. Great to know there are still new books by her being released. I look forward to reading them.
