Margaret Angus (Dr. Margaret S. \"Peg\" Angus) was born on May 23rd, 1908. Margaret passed away February 15th, 2008 at 99 years old. Margaret Angus was born in Chinook, Montana, USA. Angus attended Montana State University where she received a B.A. Honours Degree in History and Queen's University where she received an Honorary LLD Doctorate.

Margaret Angus has written 4 Non-Fiction Books. The first was released in 1966 with the book The Old Stones of Kingston: Its Buildings Before 1867. The most recently released was A Biography Of Dr. Alexander Sharp, Major And Paymaster which was released in 1988.

Raised in Fort Benton, Montana she later married her husband in 1929 and lived in Itaca, N.Y. and then Dekalb, Illinois before moving to Kingston, Ontario, Canada and resided there until her death. She was heavily involved with Queen's University's Drama department, directed the Queen's radio and was Curator of the University Collection of Canadian Dress. Angus was involved with many city committees. She became a governor of Heritage Canada, a director of the Ontario Heritage Foundation, and she was elected president of the Ontario Historical Society from 1969 to 1971. In 1968 Angus was awarded Citizen of the Year and won many other medals and awards. An accomplished local historian, Angus also contributed to the annual Historic Kingston, published annually by Kingston Historical Society. With a large family, many memories were made at her 20 Beverley Street home.
