Little Women was the first book that truly turned me on to wanting to read. I loved all the girls and their experiences. I went on to read more of the Alcott books over the years and treasured them all!
The blessing of this web site is the information contained and this is also its curse. I grew up reading Alcott and have returned to a few comfortable friends over the years and realized that as I had aged and somewhat matured so had the ideas and characters of her seemingly simple stories..
Now I see I am sadly lacking in my knowledge of Alcott – so many titles to catch up on! At 71 I can even see re-reading Little Women and catching even more in its story. What a wealth to look forward to.
I mostly read mysteries but have just set an intention to explore an Alcott title a month and see what and how they are…beginning with her journals if they are easily found.
