Liam Charles is a British television presenter, baker, and author who made his name when he contested the 2017 version of the
Great British Bake Off .
Aged only 19, he wowed lovers of the program that he was nicknamed
Cake Boy for his charisma and innovative cake recipes. Even though he only came in fifth, he was so popular that it was not long before he found other opportunities to bake.
After his time at the
Bake Off, he got into presenting on TV. In 2018, he was a cohost of that year's
Bake Off: The Professionals, where he brought much-needed energy alongside Tom Allen, the comedian.
It was also in 2018 that he worked with Channel 4 and showcased his engaging storytelling and unique baking style on his program,
